8:12 a.m.: Identity fraud, walk-in. Police received a walk-in report from a woman who reported that a family member had used her information to open an account. No other information available at the time of the report.
9:35 a.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a walk-in report that someone stole the victim’s cell phone out of their backpack at the YMCA. No other information available at the time of the report.
11:34 a.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, North Elm Street. Police stopped a vehicle that reportedly belonged to someone who allegedly had been stealing items from a family member. Police arrested Miles A. Burns III, 31, and Tamara A. Kvarnstrom, 22, both of Westfield. Burns was charged with larceny over $250, receiving stolen property over $250 and possession of heroin, while Kvarnstrom was charges with larceny over $250, possession of heroin and reckless endangerment of a child. 1:35 p.m.: Vandalism, Grandmother’s Garden, Smith Avenue. Police received a report of stones that were thrown around Grandmother’s Garden, as well as a bench that was torn off its footing in the park. Police had no other information at the time of the report.
3:42 p.m.: Robbery, Springfield Road. Police received a report from a party who said that they were a victim of an armed robbery about an hour before calling police. The victim said that he was meeting friends in a parking lot to exchange items, when one of them robbed the victim at gunpoint. Police reported that no arrests were made at the time of the report.
