WESTFIELD – Jean M. (Bovat) (Morin) Parker, 67, (1948-2016) passed away peacefully July 29, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center. Jean was born August 3, 1948 in Westfield to the late Richard J. and Bernice (Menard) Bovat. Jean was a lifelong resident of Westfield and was a graduate from St. Mary’s High School. She later earned 3 certificates in the Health Care Elder Services. She specialized in Alzhimer’s Memory Impairment. She was owner and Vice President of Al’s Tire Shop, where she managed the business for over 20 years. She was also employed with The Arbors in Westfield, The Atrium of Agawam, The Center for Human Development (Life Center), The Comm. Of MA/Dept of Retardation and the Human Development: Dept of Mental Health.
She is survived by her husband Richard Parker, her son Timothy Morin, brothers: Francis Bovat of Springfield, Robert Bovat and his wife Sandra of Westfield, Paul Bovat and his wife Doraleen of Westfield; sisters Irene (Bovat) Gailus of Waltham, Alice Lattrell and her husband Ted of Belchertown, Doris Bonkowski, and Muriel Nihill and her husband Gary of Westfield. Jean was predeceased by 5 brothers Richard Bovat Jr., Albert Bovat, Raymond Bovat, Clifford Bovat and Donald Bovat. The Requiem Mass for Jean will be August 19, 2016 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield. Burial will be private for the family.
