WESTFIELD – Mary L. “Marie” (Bard) French, 83, (1933-2016) passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Westfield, MA to the late Samuel and Frances (Bergmann) Bard. Marie worked as a shipping clerk for Universal Vice from many years. She loved trips to the casinos, playing the lottery, playing cards with her sisters and was an avid bowler in her earlier years. Marie is survived by her three loving children, Kenneth R. French and his wife Debbie of Port St. Lucie, FL, Karen R. French and Wendy Petrucelli and her husband Neil, all of Westfield, her brother, Francis Bard, sisters, Rachel Wellspeak, Eleanor Houghton, Judy Bard and Linda Perez, all of Westfield and Priscilla Bard of Ludlow, her four cherished grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A Funeral Home Service will be held for Mary on Friday at 11AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085. Burial will be private and at a later date. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
