PEMBROKE PINES, FL – Lawrence (Larry) West, 85, of Pembroke Pines, Fl, formerly of Westfield, MA passed away on Saturday, July 30th at home. Larry, born on February 22, 1931, was the son of the late Albert and Emma (Rabtor) West. He retired as a manager from the U.S. postal Service in Hollywood, FL. He leaves his sisters Marjorie Caba of Agawam, Therese Madiera and Marilyn (Donald) Starzyk both of Westfield, as well as brothers Donald of Mission Viejo, CA, Kenneth (Sonya) of Windsor, CT, Harold (Ione) of San Jose, CA, Nelson (Diane) of Westfield, Francis of Austin, TX, Raymond (Rosalie) of Westfield, Edward (Gail) of Huntington, James of Easthampton, along with many nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by siblings Linda Santillo, Bertha Shean, Lena Royland, Albert Jr., Alberta, Rosemarie, Thomas and David. He also leaves his dear friend and companion Annie Cirione of Pembroke Pines. He enjoyed watching News programs and Sports and going to horse racing and trips to the casino. Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA on Friday, August 19 from 5 to 8pm. Additional calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 20 at 12 noon with a service at 1pm, followed by a funeral procession to St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Larry’s memory in the name of the donor’s choice.
