2:07 p.m.: Violation of city ordinance and arrest, Franklin Street. Police initially stopped a motor vehicle due to its lack of inspection sticker. While pulling that vehicle over, it was noticed that another vehicle was following that vehicle. The following vehicle was operated by Luis R. Figueroa, 27, of Springfield. The two vehicles were recently purchased vehicles coming in for inspection and repair according to police, and Figueroa was operating one of the vehicles without a license. Police arrested Figueroa and charged him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
6:04 p.m.: Drugs/narcotics violation, Main Street. Police responded to a business on Main Street for assistance. While there, police requested an ambulance for a person who had been using unknown drugs. The person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital by Westfield Fire ambulance, but no charges were filed against the person.
8:25 p.m.: Disturbance, Union Street. According to police, a person called to report a disturbance that involved their significant other “being jumped.” However, police reported that the significant other was the aggressor and there was no one willing to cooperate with police. No charges were filed or arrests made.
