9:07 a.m.: Fraud, walk-in. Police received a report of fraudulent activity in someone’s bank account. The person was contacted by phone and was asked to deposit a check for the caller. After doing so, the person’s account was allegedly defrauded of $1,000. No arrests at the time of the report.
12:52 p.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a report of larceny from a man’s apartment. Police did not detail what was alleged to have been stolen, but they did have a person of interest involved that they were not IDing at the time of the report.
6:26 p.m.: Hit and run accident, Main Street and Lindbergh Boulevard. Police received a report from an off-duty officer that a possible accident had occurred at the intersection after seeing several cars stopped in the road. According to witnesses, a car was rear-ended and the other vehicle drove off. A person who called police reportedly followed that vehicle and “cornered” it on Miller Street. Police were able to find the person but no arrests or charges were made.
7:03 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Lindbergh Boulevard. Police stopped a vehicle being operated by Emmanuel Diaz, 26, of Westfield, after they reportedly recognized him and knew his license was revoked. Upon running his information the police reported that his license was indeed revoked. Additionally, upon searching Diaz and his car police alleged to have found a large quantity of money, as well as instruments used in cocaine trafficking. Police arrested Diaz and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as a habitual traffic offender and possession to distribute class B drug, subsequent offense.
8:37 p.m.: Assault, Columbia Greenway. Police received a report of a male who was assaulted on the bike path. The victim reportedly had injuries to his face including a broken nose, according to police. Police had a suspect but did not make any arrests at the time of the report.
