I want to thank all those real and responsible voters for coming out to vote in the Primary. You know how important that that election is.
OK, BIG thanks to all of you who voted for Nick Cocchi for Sheriff. As said, he was one of my students when I was a substitute teacher in Ludlow for 13 years. It is nice to see a former student do well. I especially want to thank Eddie Diaz and his great crew for the fantastic job of campaign organizing. As a result of Eddie and his team’s hard work and long hours. You enabled Nick to win all, but 2 precincts….
Sorry, I was not able to do as much as I wanted, but this team did it all. I did manage to work the polls at Ward 3 B, and it was great to see so many old friends turn out. I was, also, happy to be there to answer questions due to some of the devious commercials and correct the myth conceptions.
Next, I want to thank all of you who voted for Mary Hurley for Governor’s Council. As a judge, a lawyer, and as a mayor, where she felt the results of judges’ decisions first hand. And, again I was glad to be working the polls to answer questions due to deceptive advertising…. Thank you Ward 3, and all of Westfield.
Remember: The single most important responsibility of an American Citizen is OUR responsibility to be fact knowledgeable for OUR participation in OUR governance; for all else comes from exercising this Responsibility. Don’t so much blame government when it is those we hire in the electoral process, and to oversee their work in managing our public interests. It is not only YOUR Right to vote; it is YOUR Responsibility.
Thank you again, Brian Hoose, your former Ward 3 City Councilor
