1:59 a.m.: Assault, Franklin Street. Police received a report of a female who was assaulted by another female at a local bar. The female who was assaulted was walking with her friend away from the scene of the alleged assault, and the victim was not complaining of severe injuries. Police took a report from the victim but no arrests were made at the time of the report.
2:10 p.m.: Larceny, West Silver Street. Police received a report that someone who was going to have a tag sale had items under a tarp. They reported that someone at some point had removed the tarp and stolen a massage chair. No suspects or arrests at the time of the report.
10:20 p.m.: Disturbance and arrest, Community Police Resource Center, Elm Street. Police at the resource center reported that there was a male party, identified as Carlos Ruiz, 41, of West Springfield, who was throwing items at the back of the center at a glass window. Police confronted Ruiz and he allegedly became increasingly agitated. Police arrested Ruiz and charged him with disorderly conduct and attempt to commit a crime, and was also found to have four warrants out for his arrest.
