5:09 p.m.: Shoplifting, Stop and Shop Supermarket, Main Street. Police received a report of a shoplifting incident that occurred at the grocery store about an hour and a half prior to its reporting. Police were able to contact the suspect and said that the suspect allegedly admitted to the theft. Police reported that she allegedly said that she would pay back the amount lost. No arrests or charges reported.
6:41 p.m.: Shoplifting, Walmart, Springfield Road. Police received a report of a shoplifting incident at Walmart from loss prevention employees. They reported that an air rifle that was estimated at $220 in value was stolen. They were able to get a description of the vehicle the suspect left in, but were unable to get a license plate number. However, there was video surveillance of the incident. Police reported that they are still investigating.
