Westfield – Annette Marjory Blais Miller was born February 18, 1931 to Mary and Alphonse Blais. She grew up on the family farm where they lived off the land and their animals and she loved running through the fields. She was one of the only siblings to graduate high school. She had 7 siblings Anthon, Lionel, Germaine, Rita, Alphonse, Rachel and Roger. Her sister Rita is the last survivor of the Blais family. Annette worked at Zayers for 35 years. Annette had one son Michael Miller who passed away August 26th 2016. She was a loving, devoted, and very loyal mother who thoroughly enjoyed spending time visiting with her son. She was also a loving grandmother to Shannon Fournier and Cynthia Marsh who she spent time with at least once a week for her entire life, never missing a week even if she did not feel well. She would take us roller skating, swimming and to Riverside Park where she would just sit and patiently watch for hours deriving pleasure from watching the kids play…never hurrying us to leave. She most enjoyed celebrating the holidays and her most precious gift was a beautiful card which she cherished above any gift. She takes great pride and pleasure in her Great Grandchildren Kaitlyn and Jay who she babysat when they were young, playing wiffle ball, coloring, painting and most especially reading stories. She also enjoyed her step great-granddaughters Hope and Michelle whom she would see at family gatherings. She enjoyed attending the kids sporting events and family parties. Her grandson-in-law Jay was the only person who could truly make her laugh. She would light up every time he entered the room. Her other Great Grandchildren she admired from afar always asking about them and monitoring their progress in school and extracurricular activities are Jessica, Brittany and Kirstin. She always had their up to date pictures displayed on her wooden chest.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 1:00pm at the Blessed Sacrament church on Holyoke Road in Westfield. Firtion Adams Funeral Home has been entrusted with her service.
