HUNTINGTON – Along with their second quarter tax bills, Huntington residents received a Community Survey questionnaire in the mail last week.
The questionnaire from the Board of Selectmen seeks to ask residents their opinions on the quality of life in Huntington, what they like most and least about the town, what kind of growth they would like to see, and what kind of growth they would not like to see. There are 21 questions in all.
Selectboard member John McVeigh said the survey will help guide the town when making budget decisions.
“It’s a budget guiding tool. Are we missing something taxpayers want to see us spend tax dollars towards,” McVeigh said.
Although the survey had a request date for return of October 3, McVeigh said they are extending the deadline until the end of the month. He also said that if residents need another copy of the survey, it may be downloaded from the town’s website at huntingtonma.us, and returned to town hall.
“It’s going to help with economic collaborations moving forward, as well,” McVeigh said.
