SOUTHWICK– A graveside service for Beatrice Mae Burns, 92, of Southwick, MA will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 12, 2016 at Southwick, MA cemetery.Mrs. Burns was born September 17, 1923 in Lowell, MA and passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was the daughter of the late George and Olive Lavoie Mackie.
Beatrice was a homemaker who was active in the choir and rosary alter Sodality at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Southwick. She loved bowling and enjoyed making crafts for local Bazaars and shows. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family and listening to music.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Burns, Sr. and leaves behind five children, Donna M. Purcell of Chapin, SC, James F. Burns, Jr. of Blandford, MA, Sheila A. Paquette of Westfield, MA, John Walter Burns of West Springfield, MA and David E. Burns of Lexington, KY; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
