EAST OTIS – Deborah Galanek McCann, 68, passed away October 8, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Westfield, MA on March 30, 1948 to the late John and Eleanor (Mitchell) Galanek. Retiring in 2015, she was an Executive Director at the American Inn. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, playing pitch, the Town of Otis, her cats and her lake cottage. She will be fondly remembered for being strong and putting everyone else first. Deborah leaves her partner James Fink of East Otis; daughter Kimberly McCann and her husband Eric Lussier of Wellesley, MA; grandchildren Allison and Matthew Lussier; brother John T. Galanek and his wife Judy of Southwick, MA; niece Katherine Galanek and her daughter GeranDasbach; nephew John B. Galanek and his children Samantha and Jack Galanek and step-sons Peter Sullivan of Tolland, MA and Douglas Sullivan of NY. Friends and family may gather on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 4-7 PM at Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral & Cremation 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11 AM at First Congregational Church 18 Broad Street, Westfield, MA.
