9:21 a.m.: Burglary and breaking and entering, Pilgrim Candle, Union Avenue. Police reported that the Pilgrim Candle store was broken into overnight. Police reported that cash was stolen and it was in a similar manner–broken window–to two other incidents in the past two weeks.
2:08 p.m.: Larceny, Servistar Industrial Way. An owner of a business on Servistar Industrial Way reported that an employee may have been taking items from his business. Police reported that there was video of the incidents and that several thousands of dollars worth of scrap metal was reportedly stolen.
10:52 p.m.: Disturbance and arrest, Elm Street. Police received a report of a disturbance at a bar on Elm Street involving some patrons. After the patrons had an argument, one of the instigators, David A. Jimenez, 26, of Westfield, reportedly pulled out an expandable police baton and threatened the other parties. Police arrested Jimenez and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.
