Westfield – Gail Victoria Hickman, age 55, (1961-2016) of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday November 16th 2016. She was lovingly known as Missie, a nickname given to her by a grandfather who affectionately called her “Little Miss Missie”. The only girl of six children, Missie was born on September 22, 1961 in Westfield MA where she was raised and later settled to raise her three boys. Anyone who knew Missie knew that she believed in hard work. She spent her adult life helping run restaurants such as The Good Table where she was able to surround herself with the people she loved while passing her work ethic and passion for the restaurant business down to her sons; she fostered countless childhood memories for them and their childhood friends within the restaurant business. Later in Missie’s adult life she worked for Aero Fastener in Westfield where she, again, surrounded herself with people she loved and exhibited a strong work ethic until she was unable to work due to illness. According to Missie’s grandchildren she was known for her sassiness, her sense of humor and her gentle touch, those that knew Missie best would tend to agree. She always spoke her mind, had a loyal soul and loved with her whole heart. Of all the things Missie will be remembered for the best is her life’s greatest accomplishment, her three sons and five grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her partner of 26 years, Angela Newman, their sons; Christopher Hickman and his wife Sarah of Topsham, ME, Zackary Hickman and his fiancé Sharon of South Hadley MA, and Daniel Clark of West Springfield MA, and her grandchildren Leah, Blake, Sophia, Cameron, and Noah. Also missing her are her siblings Richard LeBlanc and his partner Allen of Goochland VA, Michael LeBlanc and his partner Faith of Old Orchard Beach ME, Andy Morris of Maine and Billy Morris also of Maine. Predeceased are her parents Chick and Bonnie Morris and a brother Stephen Morris.
