SOUTHWICK – Michael “Hippy”Hibert, 50, (1966-2016) passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 in Southwick, MA. Born on January 27, 1966 in Westfield, MA Michael graduated from Southwick High class of 1984. He had many interests but most will remember him as the owner of J.E. Hibert Auto Body and Sales on Chapel Street in Westfield, MA where he worked side by side with his father. Hippy was the life of the party, a jokester who always loved to make people laugh. His generosity was always prevalent, he would often donate food and clothing to the homeless community of Western Massachusetts and was always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He enjoyed the outdoors, praying daily at sunrise and sunset, enjoying the beauty of a rainbow, feeding the birds, riding snowmobiles, quads or dirt bikes. Hippy was a master car painter and enjoyed his 69 Corvette. He was also a member of Lake George Sportmans’s Club in Southwick, MA and enjoyed collecting many different antiques. Michael was so proud of his children always supporting his daughter in her pursuit of earning a degree in Communications from Holyoke Community College or with his son’s passion of BMX and motocross who had ranked #1 in the state for BMX. Michael leaves his wife and best friend Beth Hibert of Southwick, MA, his son Nicolas James Hibert of Southwick, MA, his daughter Shaina Hibert of Southwick, MA, his father James Edward Hibert and his significant other Marilyn LeClair of Westfield, MA, his mother Janet Boccasile and her husband Nino of Southwick, MA, his sisters, Cindy Stark and her husband Karl of Westfield, MA and Elisa Kirkpatrick and her husband Ryan of Southwick, MA, his niece Toni Stark of Southwick, MA, his nephew Jake Cressotti of Southwick, MA, close friend and sponsor Dr. Paul Warren of Southwick, MA, his many friends of Bill W along with many other family members and close friends. Calling hours will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, 568 College Hwy., Southwick, MA with a funeral service to be officiated by Pastor Jeff King at 7:00 PM.
