Southwick – Clifton “Jerry” Noble Sr., 90, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016. Born in Westfield, MA in 1926, the only son of Clifton Allyn Noble and Minnie Emerson Noble, Jerry graduated from Westfield High School at age 16. He worked as a Civil Engineer for the MA Department of Public Works from 1947-1987. He served as organist at Christ Church United Methodist Church in Southwick for the last six years. Southwoods Magazine readers enjoyed his monthly biographical articles, written over the last decade. He published four volumes of his autobiography and a collection of his poetry, “Nobly Done.” He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Anthony Atwater Noble, in 2009. He is survived by his son Clifton “Jerry” Noble Jr., his wife Kara Puskey Noble, and granddaughter Samantha Helen. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 20th form 5-7 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St., Westfield, and a funeral service will take place on Wednesday morning at 10 am at the Christ Church United Methodist Church, 222 College Highway in Southwick. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Jerry’s family would like to thank the staff at Armbrook Village in Westfield, where he has lived since 2015, and the superb caregivers of Hospice Life Care in Holyoke for their exemplary assistance in his final weeks. Jerry loved his church, and donations in his honor and memory may be sent to Christ Church United Methodist, 222 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077.
