Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah Westfield! I hope that you are all enjoying the holiday season and making the most of your time off. I know that I am grateful to spend this weekend celebrating the holiday with my friends, family, and my new cat Finnegan.

These past few weeks have mainly been filled with holiday parties and other community events. It’s been so nice to be able to get out into the city and celebrate the season with all of you. Just this past week, I attended the Jingle Bell Brunch at the Senior Center to listen to some Frank Sinatra and Christmastime favorites. In case you haven’t seen it yet, the Senior Center also has a beautiful tree decorated in honor of the Westfield Police Department- if you get a chance, you should go take a look. Earlier this month, I was also able to visit the Holyoke Soldier’s Home during their Christmas celebration. I am so thankful to the men and women there who served, and it was an honor to be invited to their party and deliver gifts to the soldiers there. This next week, I am attending the Westfield Menorah lighting on Tuesday- hope to see you there!

As the year draws to a close, I am looking forward to 2017 and the new legislative session. I can’t believe there’s only a week left of 2016! This year has definitely had its ups and downs, but I am proud of what the legislature has been able to accomplish this year, and believe that next year will be even better. I have lots of ideas for bills that I will be filing in the coming month, but as always, I look forward to hearing your ideas, as well.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office with any questions, concerns, or ideas that you have. I can be contacted at 413-572-3920 or [email protected].
