Mashpee, Ma – Victor Leonard Krawczyk, 84, son of Walenty and Victoria Krawczyk, a native of Westfield, passed away peacefully on January 4th in Mashpee,
MA. He was born December 20, 1932 and graduated from Westfield High School in 1952.
After marrying his high school sweetheart, Mary Lou Kantnik, also of Westfield, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving actively for four years including a stint in Korea. Afterwards, he served as an Air Operations Technician in the Air National Guard with the 104th Tactical Fighter Group out of Barnes Airport in Westfield. He was called back to active duty at the time of the Berlin Crisis in 1961. As a civilian, Victor enjoyed a successful career as a salesman of manufacturing products. Victor was also an avid musician from the age of 14. He entertained countless audiences in the Westfield area with his jazz accordion in nightclubs, lounges and at wedding receptions.
For the past nine years, Victor and his wife have lived in Sandwich, MA. During that time they enjoyed many special things about the Cape including its restaurants, beaches, Heritage Museum & Gardens and walking the Cape Cod Canal. Together they also enjoyed concerts, antique car shows, air shows and time with family.
Victor is predeceased by his brothers Frank Crawford, Julian and Tadeusz Krawczyk. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou, son Glen of South Dennis, daughter Karen Pisani, son-in-law Willaim Pisani and granddaughter Mikki Pisani of Mendon, MA as well as sister Gertrude of Kissimmee, FL.
Victor will be laid to rest at the Massachusetts Natinal Cemetery in Bourne. At the request of the family, memorial services will be private.
