Westfield – Jennie E. (Chojnowski) Nelson, 97, (1919-2016) a lifelong resident of Westfield passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Governor’s Center. She was born in Westfield to the late Chester and Eleanor (Kroll) Chojnowski. She worked for the Springfield Armory during WWII, for Kellogg Brush Co. and for Stanley Home Products. Jennie was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph’s National Catholic Church in Westfield. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 meeting at 11AM at St. Joseph’s National Catholic Church, 73 Main St. Westfield. Burial will be held at a later date. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-7PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad S. Westfield.
