Chester – Penny L. (Stone) Nicholas, 54, (1962-2017) passed away February 11, 2017 at the Governor’s Center in Westfield with her loving family by her side. Born in Chester, MA on December 22, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. Stone and Barbara E. (Stotz) James. She was a 1981 graduate of Gateway Regional High School. She was a member of the Chester Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and was the Chester Volunteer Fire Department Muster Team New England Champions. She was a receptionist at the Huntington Health Center. She leaves her daughter, Stevie Jeanne Nicholas of Chester; her step-father, Robert F. James of Agawam; four brothers, Lee Robert of Chester, Richard Stone of Chester, Earl Stone of Chester and Keith Stone of Seffner, FL; a sister, Cindy Camp of Montgomery; her granddaughter, Delilah L. Bailey and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Violet Gallant.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Montgomery Community Church, Main Road, Montgomery, MA. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Donations may be made to the Hilltown Ambulance Association, 1 Bromley Road, Huntington, MA 01050. O’Brien Hilltown Funeral Home in Huntington is in charge of the arrangements.
