1:08 p.m.: Accident, Main Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2006 Suzuki Aerio and a 2015 Subaru Impreza. No injuries were reported and according to the police log, both operators were out of their vehicles prior to police arrival. No tow trucks were requested, either.
1:59 p.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a report from a resident who claimed that their garbage receptacles were taken from rental property on Franklin Street. Police filed a report but no arrests were made at the time of the report.
5:15 p.m.: Accident, Southampton Road. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2012 Nissan Rogue and a 2009 Honda CRV. Police reported no injuries and although a tow truck was requested initially, according to the report there was no requirement for one.
7:47 p.m.: Fraud, East Main Street. Police received a report of a possibly fraudulent $100 bill that was found in a business’s cash drawer. According to police, they were able to get a description of who may have allegedly given the fraudulent money through closed circuit security camera footage. Police also reported that businesses should be on the lookout for possible counterfeit $100 bills. For the full story see The Westfield News article on February 18th.
