10:01 a.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Court Street. Police stopped a vehicle and according to police, the vehicle had an odor of burnt marijuana emanating from it. Police reported that they asked for a license and registration from the driver, Timmy N. Taskey, 21, of Westfield. Police reported that the driver allegedly refused and police warned him that he could be arrested for not providing license and registration. Police then reported that Taskey allegedly rolled up his window, which police reported that they responded to by saying they would have to break the window. Police reported that the vehicle allegedly drove away and they attempted to break the window of the vehicle with a baton. Police reported that the first blow did not break a window but a second blow broke the rear driver side window. Police pursued the vehicle for a period of time before the vehicle Taskey was allegedly operating started driving at a lower speed, which prompted police to follow but not pursue, according to police. Police eventually arrested Taskey on Wintergreen Lane and charged him with motor vehicle operator refusing to identify self, failing to stop for police and tire outside fender.

1:56 p.m.: Forgery/counterfeiting, Main Street. Police received a report of a counterfeit bill that was reportedly found at a local bank. The counterfeit $100 bill reportedly came from a drop-off from a local convenience store. Police are investigating.

9:46 p.m.: Accident, Broad Street and Bush Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2008 Dodge Charger and a 2008 Subaru Impreza. No injuries were reported and no airbags deployed or tow trucks requested.

10:26 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Main Street. Police initially stopped a vehicle because it reportedly had no inspection sticker. Upon running the driver’s information police found that the operator, Jonathan William Acevedo-Smith, 29, of Meriden, reportedly had a warrant out for this arrest. Police arrested Acevedo-Smith for the warrant.
