BLANDFORD – Richard F. Mire passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the age of 77. He was born in Springfield, MA on October 21, 1939 and was a longtime Springfield resident. Richard was a Union Representative and Chief Negotiator and went on to retire from Worthington Compressor Services in Holyoke, MA. Richard leaves his wife, Attorney Patricia (Mattuski) Hebert, his daughters, Michele Griffith and her husband Todd of Hampden, MA, Diana Mire of Russell, MA, Mary Mire of Blandford, MA and stepdaughter, Kristina Manfredi and her husband Joseph of Westfield, MA. He also leaves his sister Joyce Buchanan of Springfield, grandson Sean Griffith, and step-grandchildren Brooke, Callie and Anthony Manfredi. He was predeceased by his wife Roberta (Dubiel) Mire and his sister Nancy Gaspari.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 3-5 p.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust St., Springfield, MA. A Prayer Service for Richard will follow at 5 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
