Southwick- William E. Halton III, 78, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017; surrounded by his loving family.
William was born on November 9, 1938 in Mount Vernon, New York; a son of the late William Halton II and Ellen (Hickey) Halton.
William was a resident of Southwick for the last 18 years, having previously lived in New York. Mr. Halton was last employed as a General Manager for Hospitality, in the Hotel industry. His career included the Ritz Tower and the Americana, both in New York City; and locally at the Hotel Northampton and the former Schine Inn (now the Plantation Inn of New England) in Chicopee.
William is survived by his loving family, two daughters and two sons-in-law, Chantalle Sole and Francisco Javier Sole of Southwick, Charlene Kiernan and Neil Kiernan Sr. of Riverdale, NY; four grandchildren, Keila Sole and Gabriella Sole both of Southwick, Neil Kiernan Jr. of Riverdale, NY, Christie Kiernan of Woodstock, CT; a great granddaughter, Kelly Coakley of Woodstock, CT; his former wife Olivette (Lemieux) Halton of Southwick; a sister, Jill Lovejoy of North Carolina; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
A funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM on Friday June 30, 2017 in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sheep Pasture Road, Southwick. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in New Cemetery, College Highway, Southwick. There are no calling hours.
