Ronald M. Tatro, 78, (1940-2018) passed away on February 11, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield to the late Olizen and Alice (Burgess) Tatro and was a 1958 graduate of West Springfield High School. Ronald served his country in the 104th Air National Guard at Barnes Air Force Base as a mechanic for over 26 years, retiring in 1996. He was also employed as a driver for Welch and Corr Construction Company, Lucia Lumber and for Suburban Chevrolet and worked as an elevator repairman for Westinghouse Elevator Corporation. Ron was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Southwick. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Maryann D. (Salois) Tatro and his son Brian Tatro and his fiancé, Erin Duchesne of East Longmeadow, three step sons Kevin F. Cameron and his wife LeaAnne of Westfield, Keith M. Cameron of Feeding Hills and Michael G. Cameron and his wife Kristen of Orlando, FL, two sons and two daughters, his cherished twenty four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, his brothers, Frank Tatro and John Tatro and two sisters, Lillian Johnson and Gloria Fremmer. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 with a Mass at 9:30AM in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sheep Pasture Rd. Southwick, followed by burial with military honors in the Massachusetts veterans Memorial Cemetery, Main St. Agawam. There are no calling hours.
