Major crime and incident report

6:38 a.m. Accident, Lockhouse Road and Industrial Park Road. Callers reported a head-on collision at this intersection. A 2001 Toyota Tundra and 2014 Hyundai SE Sonata were involved. Police contacted Pioneer Valley Railroad, as accident occurred directly on their tracks. One driver was transported to Baystate Noble. The other driver was driven to police headquarters. Both cars were towed and tracks were cleared. Citation issued.

7:10 a.m. Accident, Franklin Street. Caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident in the middle of the road. A 2002 Toyota Tacoma and a 2007 Subaru Legacy were involved. No reported injuries, one vehicle was towed from the scene. Citation issued.

8:29 a.m. Breaking and entering, motor vehicle. St. Paul Street. Walk-in report vehicle broken into, gift cards stolen. Investigated and report taken.

8:39 a.m. Larceny, Wendy’s, 6 Southampton Road. Wendy’s employee called 911, reported money missing from safe. Under investigation.

9:38 Accident, Mill Street and Court Street. 911 caller reported a two-car accident. A 2007 Volkswagon Jetta and a 2001 Dodge Intrepid involved. Both cars were towed, citation issued.

12:41 p.m. Illegal trash disposal, Russell Rd. Caller reported individual illegally dumping trash in their dumpster. Individual contacted, returned to pick up subflooring and flooring illegally dumped.

2:53 p.m. Illegal trash disposal. Municipal lot behind Franklin St. Officer found multiple bags of discarded trash outside of locked dumpsters adjacent to municipal lot. Under investigation.

3:46 p.m. Larceny, Heritage Trailer Park, Southampton Road. Walk-in reported theft of a tablet. Under investigation.

6:10 p.m. Shoplifting and arrest. Stop & Shop, Main Street. Tiffany Reno, 26, of Westfield, was arrested for shoplifting by concealing merchandise and trespass. Officer transported Reno to police headquarters.

6:54 p.m. Phone -Alarm Burglar and arrest, Martin’s Floor Covering, Southampton Road. Officer responded to DAS front door alarm and found two occupants sitting next to building. Kamilah Hodges, 40, of Springfield was arrested on outstanding warrant. Officer transported Hodges to police headquarters.

9:17 p.m. Burglary/Breaking and entering, Montgomery Street. Caller reported what appeared to be breaking and entering when they were not at home. Officer investigated and found door separating dwellings had been beaten and a large metal cabinet moved. Unknown if any items missing. Report taken.
