Persis E. Giovanelli, age 99, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 23, 1918 to Allen and Julia Tuma of Becket, Ma. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was the former own of the Wildcat Springs Restaurant. Persis was pre-deceased by husband, Clarence Giovanelli and granddaughter, Persis Broga. She is survived by her daughter; Persis Webb, grandchildren; Richard Webb Jr, Preston Webb (Lyn) and Amy Underwood (Jed); grandson-in-law; Thomas Broga, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In accordance with Persis’s wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made to: New Birth Christian Church in Thorndike, MA.
