9:36 a.m.: breaking and entering, Main Line Drive, a caller reports her vehicle was broken into, the responding officer reports that a window was smashed and the victim’s purse was stolen, the officer reports that attempts were made to use both the credit and debit cards at a Springfield Road department store but the credit card use was denied;
2:04 p.m.: disturbance, Evergreen Drive, a caller reports a known party is attempting to hit him with a baseball bat, the responding officer reports that an altercation developed in the morning between persons who had been drinking together the night before, one attempted to hit another with a bat but succeeded only with a cooking pot, no changes were filed;
4:12 p.m.: animal complaint, Church Street, a caller reports what appeared to be a parrot is on her back fence, the woman called back to say she had captured the bird, the responding animal control officer reports the cockatiel was transported to the Westfield animal shelter;
9:38 p.m.: animal complaint, Washington Street, a person came to the station to surrender a one-eyed Jack Russell terrier dog reportedly found in the Baystate Noble Hospital area, an animal control officer transported the dog to the Westfield animal shelter.
