9:31 a.m.: school investigation, Westfield Technical Academy, 33 Smith Avenue, a school resource officer reports he was advised of a fight between two pupils, the youths were subjected to school discipline;
1:34 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he observed two vehicles pass another which had stopped for a pedestrian in a crosswalk, the officer reports that both operators were advised of their transgression and one was found to be operating with a learner’s permit without a licensed operator in the vehicle, a criminal citation was issued;
3:15 p.m.: counterfeiting, Main Street, a caller from a fast food restaurant reports a customer passed a counterfeit $10 bill, the responding officer reports the caller does not know which customer spent the bill;
8:53 p.m.: a caller reports a fire at a neighbor’s house, the responding firefighters report a resident was attending an intentional fire burning brush and garbage, the man was advised of the pertinent regulations and agreed to extinguish his fire.
