8:47 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating with registration plates attached which had been issued to another vehicle, the vehicle was stopped and the operator fled but was quickly detained, Yessenia G. Sanchez-Melendez, 30, of 153 Dickinson St., Apt. 1, Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a license, failure to stop for police, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, attaching plates and a number plate violation;
11:01 a.m.: larceny Western Circle, a resident came to the station to claim a purse found in Stanley Park and reports property is missing from the purse;
11:11 a.m.: fraud, Paper Mill Road a resident came to the station to report his bank account was fraudulently accessed, the responding community policing officer reports a suspect was identified who allegedly withdrew $400 from the victim’s account without authority;
6:55 p.m.: assault, Westminister Street, a caller reports his 8-year-old daughter told him that her mother has been hitting and pinching her, the responding officer reports an investigation was initiated;
11:59 p.m.: officer wanted, Hanover Street, a caller reports an intoxicated person came to his home and he would like the man removed, the responding officer reports the man was found to be the subject of outstanding warrants issued in 2015 and 2016 by the Westfield, Springfield and Waltham district courts, Joel Matos, 35, of no fixed address in Massachusetts, was arrested on the warrants.
