SOUTHWICK – Arthur Albert, III, 67, passed away peacefully Monday, August 20th at Mercy Hospital surrounded by his beloved family. Art was born July 24, 1951 in Bangor, ME to the late Arthur and Helen (Bamber) Albert, Jr. Art worked for many years at Strathmore Paper before retiring. He loved to volunteer at the Southwick Rec Center and coached softball for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed riding his quads, fishing and photography. He enjoyed traveling with the love of his life to the Caribbean, Italy, Alaska, Ireland and many more memorable places. He was a man of many trades and could fix anything. He cherished his family the most. Art is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Debra (Mars) Albert and his daughters Michelle Hall, Renee McGee and her husband Thomas and Carey Reading. He was the cherished Papa to Jessica Talbot, Madison Hall and Jack Reading and great-grandfather to Elijah. He was the caring brother to Barbara Kirk and her husband Richard, Debora Eggleston and her husband Kenneth, Susan Gauither and her husband David, Linda Clukey and her husband James, Julie Moran and her husband Robert, Timothy Albert and his wife Heather, Michael Albert and his wife Debra, John Albert and his wife Janet, and Douglas Albert and his wife Denise. He will be missed by his sisters-in-law Cynthia Poirier and her husband Robert and Maxine Kent and her husband Kenneth and his Baystate Cardio Rehab friends.
The funeral for Art will be private for the family.
