Midnight: liquor law violation, Franklin Street at Shepard Street, the community policing supervisor reports a liquor laws violation, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
12:26 a.m.: notification, Washington Street, the community policing supervisor reports he went to a student occupied apartment building and when he entered the common area of the building he heard an unreasonable amount of noise upstairs, the officer reports he found a male party subsequently found to be younger than the legal drinking age holding a beer, the officer reports that the youth was aggressive and uncooperative and found to have been cited for under-age possession of alcohol recently, Matthew Griffin, 19, of 311 Meiggs Backus Road, Sandwich, was arrested for being a person younger than the legal drinking age in possession of liquor;
1:13 a.m.: vandalism, Church Street, a caller reports a group of three young persons walked past her home a short time earlier and subsequently she discovered a pole attached to her porch was broken, the responding officer reports that the caps on the victim’s porch rails were damaged;
9:37 a.m.: animal complaint, Elm Street, a caller reports a raccoon appears to be sick and cannot walk around, the responding animal control officer reports she took custody of a raccoon on Emery Street and transported it to the municipal animal shelter;
11:23 a.m.: larceny, Franklin Street, a caller from a discount store reports persons who shoplifted unknown merchandise left in a described vehicle, the responding officer reports a woman was found who returned the stolen property, the store management did not elect to pursue criminal charges but the woman was served with a ‘No trespassing’ order and a second woman will be mailed a ‘No trespassing’ order;
10:47 p.m.: disturbance, Noble Street, a caller reports a college related disturbance, the responding officer reports a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
11:13 p.m.: disturbance, Arnold Street, a caller reports a college related disturbance, the responding officers report peace was restored;
11:25 p.m.: disturbance, Orange Street, a caller reports a college related disturbance, the responding officers report peace was restored.
