“Senior Safety” Luncheon at the Westfield Senior Center

October 17, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Avoid becoming a statistic! The Westfield Council On Aging/Senior Center located at 45 Noble Street, will host a special educational luncheon entitled “Senior Patrol: Avoiding Identity Theft, Scams, and Fraud” on Wednesday, October 17 at 11 a.m. Hear the facts regarding identity theft, scams and fraud, how they target the elderly, and learn the steps you can take to protect yourself. Most seniors freeze because they don’t know what to do or where to turn when they become a victim. This presentation will leave older adults feeling empowered, and knowing when and how to step into immediate action! Milagros Johnson has more than 17 years of experience working for the Mayor’s Office of Consumer Information, a Local Consumer Program funded by and working in cooperation with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and serving Hampden County and parts of Worcester County. The special “Senior Safety” luncheon menu will include two Senior Center favorite pies: Shepherd’s pie and for dessert, apple pie `a la mode. Tickets are $3 and must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited. Participants may purchase no more than four tickets per person.
