WESTFIELD – Mayor Brian P. Sullivan confirmed on Friday that Anthony Contrino, currently the Energy Supply Manager for Westfield Gas + Electric, has been named the new General Manager of the municipal light plant. Contrino will replace Dan Howard, who is retiring in November after 30 years with G+E.
The selection followed interviews of candidates at the Municipal Light Board meeting on Tuesday, October 9.
According to Contrino’s LinkedIn profile, he has been with Westfield G&E for 17 years; first as Operations Supervisor from 2001 to 2009, before becoming Energy Supply Manager. As manager, he is responsible for managing and expanding the Department’s diverse electric and natural gas supply portfolios.
