Westfield – Evelyn W. Langtange, 89, passed away on November 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in New York City and moved to Westfield in 1960, where she remained and raised her family. She was a devout member and Eucharistic minister of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westfield. She was a receptionist for many years at both H.B. Smith and the Marion Center. She volunteered her time at the Cancer House of Hope. She loved spending time with her family and many close friends. She also enjoyed many nights playing slots at the casino. Evelyn was pre-deceased by her husband, Francis Langtange and her brother Frank Predgo. She leaves behind her brother William Predgo and his wife Pat of Texas; brother Arthur Predgo of Arizona, daughter Frances and late husband John Wheeler, daughter Janet and her husband Ken Andwood, son Bruce Langtange all of Westfield, Jim Langtange and late wife Amy Lane of Arizona. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jason and his wife Kerri Wheeler, Brian Wheeler, Kristin Wheeler, Stephanie Andwood; Michael Andwood; Diana Garcia and her husband Joey. Her four beloved great grandchildren, Evan, Trevor, Jocelyn, and Christian. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday November 6th at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield from 4-7 pm. The funeral will be held on Wednesday 9 am at the funeral home and a Mass at 10 am in Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm Street Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
