12:48 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, a patrol officer reports a routine check of a vehicle seen operating on Franklin Street revealed the vehicle’s registration to be expired, the vehicle was stopped and the operator’s license was found to have been suspended, the man was also found to the be the subject of outstanding warrants issued by the Springfield and Holyoke district courts, Luis A. Rivera-Melendez, 33, of 1070 Dwight St., Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (a subsequent offense) and on the two warrants;
10:02 a.m.: weather complaint, Russellville Road, a caller reports a tree is down, in addition, three trees or limbs were subsequently reported to be down on East Mountain Road and two were reported on Granville Road;
12:52 p.m.: vandalism, Western Avenue, a caller reports vandalism at a Western Avenue church, the responding officer reports a vehicle in the church parking lot was keyed, a suspect was identified but the investigation is incomplete;
1:12 p.m.: disturbance, Woodsong Road, a caller reports she was assaulted by her boyfriend’s sister, a second caller reported she had been assaulted by her brother’s girlfriend, the responding officer reports no charges were filed and peace was restored;
4:20 p.m.: disturbance, Meadow Street, a caller reports her 17-year-old daughter is “out of control” and creating a disturbance in the home with a friend, both girls refused to leave the residence, the responding officer reports that when he arrested the girl for disorderly conduct she resisted arrest and punched the officer, she was found to be in possession of counterfeit $100 bills, the girl was also arrested for being delinquent by reason of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, vandalizing property and possession of counterfeit notes;
5:13 p.m.: assault, Orange Street, a caller said he was attacked by a neighbor who displayed a knife, the responding officer reports no knife was found, no charges were filed and peace was restored;
6:23 p.m.: larceny, Frederick Street, a caller reports his bicycle was stolen, the responding officer reports the bike had not been locked but was recovered, charges are pending against a juvenile suspect.
