Her collection includes 18th and 19th century European, Asian, and Art Deco hand fans. She is a former Chicopee School teacher and currently is a substitute teacher in Newburyport, MA. Please bring your favorite fan! The public is welcome, and encouraged to join the Association.
The Agawam Historical Association (AHA), a 501(c) (3) non- profit organization, has been part of the Agawam community for many years with the mission to preserve the Town’s history and artifacts and to educate the citizens of Agawam. The Thomas Smith House, located in Feeding Hills, is the oldest existing house in Agawam (circa 1757) and was purchased by the AHA. The Fire House Museum on Elm Street, currently under renovation, houses antique fire trucks and apparatus on the ground floor and contains artifacts, memorabilia and exhibits from Agawam and neighboring areas on the second floor.
