Teen Hangout Ice Cream Sundae Bar: Thursday, June 13, 2:30-3:30. Come to Southwick Public Library to create your perfect ice cream sundae to celebrate the last days of school! Beanstack! A new way to track your Suntime Reading! This year, Southwick Public Library has teamed up with Beanstack to allow our patrons to track summer reading remotely. Beanstack is a user-friendly website and mobile app that conveniently allows you to keep up with your log from anywhere! It’s perfect for when you’re on vacation or can’t make it to the library. A parent can choose to register multiple children under one account and help them keep their logs organized and up to date. You can also use Beanstack to sign up for events; each event you attend earns you an extra chance in the prize raffle! You can register with Beanstack beginning on June 17. Download Beanstack Tracker from the app store on your mobile device, or go to: https://southwickma.beanstack.org/ to create your account. A library staff member will be happy to assist you with any questions you have setting up your account.

SunTime Reading Program for Teens: The SunTime Reading Program at the Southwick Public Library will run June 22-August 2. SRP is a fun way to enhance your leisure summer reading and get those summer reading assignments completed! After reading one hour, a visit to the library earns you a gift certificate to a treat a restaurant in Southwick. In addition, for each hour you read, you receive a chance to win a prize including gift certificates to your favorite restaurants and entertainment. You may enter up to 5 chances a week. The Library also offers free, fun events for you to attend all summer long! This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories.” Pre-registration for the program begins Monday, June 17. Teen SunTime Reading Program Kickoff-FANFEST: Saturday, June 22, 10AM-1 PM. Come to Southwick Public Library to sign up for the SRP to earn prizes for reading throughout the summer, and reserve your spot in a list of free teen events happening all summer long! Kick off this program by dressing as your favorite fandom character for the chance to win a prize! Winner of the cos-play competition will be announced at 12:45. You can also meet and take pictures with professional cos-players. Make comic book wallet or a Star Wars door dec. Join in Marvel and DC Movie Trivia from 12:10-12:40. Bottle Rocket Launch: Thursday, June 27, 2:00. Design your own bottle rocket and launch it high and as far as you can at Southwick Public Library!
