On Saturday, June 15, the Hampshire Regional boys’ and girls’ cross country teams are hosting the 10th Annual “School’s Done! Raider Run,” a 5K cross country race starting and finishing at the school on Stage Rd. in Westhampton. Runners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to come experience the beautiful, challenging, and well-marked course that traverses country roads and rolling wooded trails. The first mile is on paved roads, the next two are on trails and grass – narrow in places as it winds in and out of the woods, along a stream, over a footbridge, and around campus. It may not be fast, but it is beautiful!

There are post-race refreshments, awards for overall and age group winners, and plenty of door prizes available for all participants. There are special awards for top HRHS alumni and staff finishers. In addition to the 5K, there is a 1 mile fun run (only $5) which circles the campus. The 5K begins at 9:00 am, and the 1 mile at 9:45. Restrooms and plenty of parking are available.

With over 50 participants, the cross country team is one of the largest programs at HRHS. Proceeds from this race will help fund transportation and entry fees for invitational races as well as the purchase of equipment. Runners may also register the morning of the race, starting at 8:00 am (price increases to $25; $20 for HRHS district students).
