Blue Umbrella Books will be hosting its third Author Birthday Bash on June 8 with a day-long event starting from Noon and ending at 6 p.m. We will be celebrating the 91st birthday of author Maurice Sendak. Sendak is the author of the well-known, and extremely popular, children’s book, Where the Wild Things Are, that was originally published in 1963 with a film adaptation in 2009. To help celebrate, glassblower artist Hugh Naggar will also be in the shop. He’ll be creating Wild Things as well as any creation that you desire.
