ZUMBA® Fitness at Stanley Park
ZUMBA® Fitness classes continue in the Fall at Stanley Park for six sessions! Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings, September 10 through October 15 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Beveridge Pavilion. Certified instructor Becca Perron will lead the Latin-inspired dance ZUMBA® workouts. This class will be low-impact, high-energy, fun-in-the-sun; perfect for beginners and seasoned ZUMBA® participants alike!
Children 10 and up are welcome with an adult. Please wear comfortable workout clothes and sneakers, and bring lots of water (you might also want a small towel). Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Donations to the Park are welcome, with a donation of $5 per person per class. Types: Zumba combines body-sculpting moves with the dance steps of meringue, cumbia, reggaeton, salsa, mambo, hip-hop, rumba, calypso and flamenco. Function: A Zumba workout targets the legs, glutes, arms, heart and abdominal muscles and will help you tone up. Benefits: In general, regular aerobic exercise has numerous rewards. Weight loss is one outcome. Another benefit is the reduction of health risks like obesity, heart disease and high blood pressure.
