On Sunday November 17 from 1 to 4 p.m., the Southwick Select Board and the Southwick 250 Committee invites the public to join them in a walk to see the newly displayed banners honoring their history and their town. The walk will start at the northernmost banner on College Highway and proceed to the southernmost. There will be a brief welcome from the Selectboard Chair, as well as banner narrations during the walk, plus light refreshments at the town hall at the end.

Attendees are encouraged to park at the town hall and take the proffered bus ride to the beginning of the banner walk. For those who prefer not to walk, or if the weather is bad, there will be a virtual banner walk presentation at the town hall. Banners can be previewed at https://sites.google.com/view/southwick250/banner-way, but the narration at the Banner Way Day walk will add interesting content about each of the 50 banners. All of the banners have been sold to businesses, civic organizations and individuals. Those who purchased the banners are acknowledged on this site. The physical banners will be on display for about one year, and then given to the purchasers.

The Celebrate Southwick 250 committee members are asking for more people to become involved to help with the many celebrations planned. The next meeting will be held at 6:30, November 18, 6:30 p.m., at the Southwick Town Hall auditorium. All are welcome.
