WESTFIELD – Jason Edward Gadreault, 43, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. He was born in Springfield, MA on July 8, 1976 to Lisa (Alaconis) Gadreault and Wayne Gadreault. He attended Westfield High School and Branford Hall receiving a certificate in Technology Management. He was a Chef by trade and worked establishments in Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia & New York. We were fortunate to enjoy his cooking. Jay worked hard, loved deeply and played hard. He enjoyed baseball…..Go Red Sox!, music, writing, reading, movies, concerts, pets and the outdoors with one goal being the Appalachian Trails. He always took time to give attention to any children, making them laugh and feel special. It is with very heavy hearts to say that God has called Jason home to him. Family and friends will forever miss him.
Jason is survived by his beloved sons, Bailey Gadreault of Springfield, MA and Kane Gadreault of Deland, FL., mother, Lisa (Alaconis) Gadreault, brother Christopher Gadreault of Westfield, MA and the late Jamie Fast; his father Wayne Gadreault & partner Diane along with special niece Nicole, of Winterpark, FL. Jason leaves his much-cherished grandmother, Lorraine Alaconis (his rock) and late grandfather Edward Alaconis. He leave his aunts and uncles, Kathleen & Scott Priest of Westfield, MA, Tracy Alaconis & partner Chip Dazelle of Huntington, MA, Chuck & Kathy Alaconis of Southwick, MA, Patricia & Richard Strong of Westfield and Kevin & Marcelle Gadreault of New York along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He leaves “The four”: Leo, Nate, Smitty & Jay and many other cherished friends. Grandparents Doris & Kenneth Gadreault and Uncle Michael Gadreault also predeceased Jay. Parting ways with Jason’s love of his life and soul mate Angela (Nacewicz) Johns & stepdaughter Raina of Deland FL. “He was lost, but now he is found and can rest in peace”.
Visiting hours for Jason’s “Celebration of Life” is Thursday, November 21st from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a brief service following at Firtion Adams, 76 Broad St. Westfield.
