Woronoco Heights Outdoor Adventures (WHOA!) is adding holiday fun to the already extensive offering of seasonal activities in the December edition of monthly seasonal activities at the Horace Moses Scout Reservation in Russell on Saturday December 7 from 9 am to 3 pm.

Each month WHOA! presents activities taking advantage of the Scout reservation’s facilities on1300 acres, just 20 minutes from I-90 Exit 3.Many activities are open to children as young as 5 years old. Families will find outdoor programs as well as fun activities indoors with all the equipment provided.

With the holidays coming there will be a program area where Christmas and holiday decorations can be made along with cookie decorating and baking. Those looking to try making something different can visit the blacksmith shop for a simple project.

Just for fun and to try something different WHOA! offers both indoor and outdoor activities. Indoors is ham radio, photography lessons, and escape rooms. Outdoors in December, with equipment provided, will be orienteering, mountain bikes, disc golf, geocaching, ecology, and for those over 10 years tomahawk throwing.

The entire day is $15 per person, with youth 5 to 9 years $10. Groups of 10 or more are discounted at $10 per person. Pre-registration is appreciated but not required on-line at tinyurl.com/WHOA1207.

Each program is available from 9 am until 3 pm and subject to change, especially due to weather conditions. Some programs require signing up for a specific time period.
