WESTFIELD – Susan Ruth (Schultz) Nardacci, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 10th with family by her side. Susan was born on July 4, 1947 in Westfield, daughter to the late August Schultz and Ruth Stevens.
Susan was strong, and humble. She was full of life and love. Susan was caring and selfless, putting everyone’s needs before her own; family always first. Susan left Westfield and moved to Southwick to raise her growing family and remained for 20 years before returning to her hometown. She loved all animals, especially dogs and rescued many over the years. Her love for dogs drew her into the business of breeding, grooming, and showing for many years. She was an avid antique collector. Susan was extremely artistic being the beautiful creative woman she was, she would spend countless hours handcrafting gifts for her friends and family.
Much of her time was spent listening to music while doing ceramics, painting, crocheting, making wreaths and painting gourds. She loved being outdoors in warm weather and took great pride and pleasure working in her gardens. Susan loved the ocean and cherished those memories. She enjoyed daily walks along the river with her dog Roxy, enjoying natures beauty. She enjoyed fishing alone or with her grandchildren. Susan was a huge NASCAR and WWE Monday Night Raw fan. Time not crafting was spent playing games on her tablet, doing word searches and playing endless hours of games with her friends. Susan was a breast cancer survivor. Afflictions casted her way never stopped Susan from living life to the fullest.
She is survived by her loving children Kelly Sullivan and her husband Brian of Holyoke, Victor Nardacci and his wife Erin of Hampden, Melissa Stairs and her husband Jason of Feeding Hills, and Angela Lamothe and her husband Jason of Westfield. She was the caring sister to Robert Schultz and his wife Deborah of Wilbraham, Raymond Shultz and his wife Celeste of Westfield, Patricia Lane of Wilbraham, Diane Gogol and her husband Gary of Westfield, and Sharon Minor and her husband David of South Hadley. She was the cherished grandmother and Nana to Kayleigh, Alexandra, Brian, Nicholas, Courtney, Ryan, Taylor, John, Brett, Chelsee, Kaden, Sammy and great grandmother to Noah David, Jaxon and Olivia. Susan will be profoundly missed by her dear friend Michael Reed, and friends/caregivers Sam Smith, Chelsee Karnolisz. Forever missed by her fur babies: dog- Roxy and cat- Tigger. The funeral for Susan will be private. A private burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield.
