AGAWAM – Gladys J. (Beaton) Lamb, 90, died May 13, 2020 at Heritage Hall – South nursing home. She was born in Springfield, MA on June 30, 1929 to the late William Beaton and Ellen (Pratt) Clark. She attended local schools in Westfield and worked for Country Court Motel, Whites Quaint Shop and Old Colony Envelope, and was a bus driver in Holyoke for the special needs. Gladys was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 1847 for many years in Westfield, Cooties Pup Tent #9 in South Hadley and the American Legion 577. In 1968 she laid the wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington D.C. with the Cooties.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Frederick W. Lamb, her brother Chester Clark, step granddaughter Bess Miller. She leaves her son Almon E. (Mercedes) Schmidt in Westfield, daughter Iva J. (Russ) Duval of Westfield, granddaughters Anna and Bethany, three great granddaughters, Marissa, Aubreana and Summer, her brother Charles Clark in Shutesbury. Nephews and Nieces. Step-daughter Lois Miller and step-son Albert (Jane) Lamb, along with step-grandchildren Aaron, Matthew, Dan and step-great grandchildren, Truman, Esme and Talula.
