WESTFIELD – John R. Dorman, 71, (1948-2020) passed away at Baystate Noble Hospital on September 25, 2020. He was born in Holyoke to the late Francis and Phyllis (LaFlamme) Dorman. John served his country during Vietnam with the United State Navy from 1967-1969. John was employed for many years and retired as a warehouse manager for Ashland Chemical Company. He enjoyed going to cars show, antique cars and especially his own 1963 Buick Special convertible. He also enjoyed going bowling. Most of all John loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife Gail A. (Seum) Dorman of Westfield, his four children, Toby J. Gagne of Vermont, Jason A. Gagne of West Springfield, Kimberly A. Valles and her husband Jason of Westfield and Jonathan P. Dorman and his wife Ann of Westfield, his brothers, Donald Dorman of Florence , MA, Fran Dorman of Chicopee and Kevin Dorman of Holyoke, a sister Erin Baker of Florida, his cherished ten grandchildren, Eric and wife Becca, Rachelle and wife Christine, Nathaniel, Erik, Jason, Courtney, Daryl, Ashlee, Jaylynn and Samantha and four great grandchildren, Kaylena, Teylor, Luca and Nolan.
Visiting hours will be held for John on October 3, 2020 from 12-2 PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be directed to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation at NPCF, P.O.
