WESTFIELD: Wanda P. Wisniowski, 90, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Baystate Noble Hospital. She was born in Westfield on January 25, 1931 to the late Nicholas and Sophia (Lazarz) Palivoda. She was a lifelong resident of Westfield and attended local schools graduating from Westfield High School Class of 1948. Wanda worked at Strathmore Paper Co., Steigers in the make-up dept., and for the City of Westfield. She worked in the following offices – Westfield High School, the City Clerk’s Office, Park and Rec, Fire Dept., and the Water Dept. She retired in 1999 after 25 years of service. She loved Polka dancing with her husband Casimir and traveling. She was a Parishioner of Holy Trinity Church where she was a lector. She enjoyed playing in the pitch league and hosting many polka gatherings in her home. Wanda was pre-deceased by her husband Casimir in 2015 and her son James in 2011.
She leaves her son Glenn Wisniowski and his wife Donna, her grandchildren Jessica Maynard and Nicholas Wisniowski, great-grandchildren Claire, Ashlyn and Declan.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 5th at Holy Trinity Church at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Firtionadams.com
