WESTFIELD: Cynthia Ann Cos (Czarnik) , 64 years of age, from Westfield MA, passed away peacefully in her home late Wednesday evening surrounded by her loving family. Cindy grew up in Easthampton MA, where she attended parochial schools. After high school, she achieved her associates in Office Administration at Holyoke Community College. She was a very intelligent woman with a drive that pushed her to astounding levels in her career at the United States Department of Agriculture, where she was employed for forty years. She began her career there as a secretary and ended as one of the most admired, hardworking IT specialists. In Cindy’s spare time, she loved being with her family, gardening, and boating. She also had a great love for animals and was passionate in her care for them. Cindy had many amazing talents, one being the ability to make any room beautiful with her decorating skills. She astonished everyone with her kind heart and beautiful smile, which lit up any room she entered. Cindy was an amazing mother to her three children and adored her husband, all of whom she lived for.
Cindy is predeceased by her mother, Helen Czarnik, her father, Richard Czarnik, and her brother David Czarnik, all from Easthampton MA, her mother-in-law, Cora Cos, and father-in-law, Norman Cos, both from Westfield MA. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Jeffrey Cos of Westfield MA, and her three children, Jennifer Germain of Springfield MA and significant other Chris Lonchiadis, Jonathan Cos of Charlton MA and his wife Laura Cos, and Ashley Cornelius of Westfield MA and her husband Kevin Cornelius. Cindy also had 5 grandchildren; Brooke, Bella, and Ava Germain; Liam Cos; and Madison Cornelius. She also had many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Calling Hours for Cindy will be held on Saturday, December 18th from 12pm – 4pm at the Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 18 Adams Street, Easthampton, whom honorably and proudly has been entrusted with Cindy’s care and services. All other services for Cindy will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society in honor of Cindy.
